About the Company
This electricity distribution network operator is developing the capability required to plan for a rapidly changing energy system.
Its Strategic Planning and Forecasting team sits within Future Energy Planning and examines how emerging technologies, renewable generation, changing customer behaviour and major new loads could affect the network over the longer term.
The team is seeking an engineer who can combine traditional power systems knowledge with programming, analytics and data-driven approaches to network planning.
Requirements
Power systems or electrical engineering background with strong analytical capability
Programming capability relevant to engineering analysis, automation, modelling or data science
Understanding of electricity networks, power system analysis or network planning
Experience working with engineering datasets, forecasting, simulation or analytical models
Ability to connect engineering problems with computational and data-driven solutions
