Project Manager

At Prekaro Projects we are builders who care. From Brisbane we deliver homes, workplaces and investments our clients are proud of—and come back for. Relationships matter as much as the build. This role exists so every project is planned, programmed and finished to the standard our directors demand: clear communication, tight cost control and work we stand behind.

What you will achieve

  • Deliver assigned commercial, industrial, education and residential projects on programme and within approved cost, with zero unresolved defects at handover.

  • Own the live programme and cost plan; flag variances early and recover time or money without sacrificing quality or safety.

  • Lead subcontractors and consultants so site coordination is tight, RFIs are answered fast, and variations are documented and approved before work proceeds.

  • Keep clients and stakeholders informed with honest, timely reporting so trust stays high and repeat work follows.

  • Close out each project with a complete as-built pack, lessons learned and a client who would recommend Prekaro.

  • Uphold site safety and quality standards so every inspection is passed first time and our reputation for attention to detail is protected.

Environment & resources

You report to the directors and work as part of a hands-on team of 11–50. You will have access to our established subcontractor network, programming and cost tools, and the backing of a strong balance sheet. Projects span Australia according to client need; base is Morningside, Brisbane.

Essential qualifications

  • Proven delivery of construction projects (commercial, industrial, education or multi-residential) from award through defects-free handover.

  • Ability to run a live programme and cost plan and recover when things slip.

  • Strong site leadership: coordinating trades, consultants and clients without drama.

  • Clear written and verbal communication that keeps stakeholders aligned.

  • Commitment to quality and safety that matches a builder who stands by the product.

Why this role

  • Directors who stay close to the work and expect the same from you.

  • Variety: we do not specialise in one typology—we build what the client needs.

  • Repeat clients because relationships are treated as part of the job.

  • A team that communicates and a product we are proud to put our name on.

If you want to manage projects that people live and work in—and that we will still be proud of years later—apply now. Tell us about a job you delivered that you still stand by.
